Hello Students and Families,

I am so excited to be a member of the Mustang community here at MXMS.  I love working with middle school students and look forward to meeting each and every one of you. I am a fairly new counselor and a retired Air Force Reservist. My husband is currently in the Army National Guard and we  have two beautiful daughters. In my pastime, I love to read (I would love to hear about your favorite book) and do just about anything “outdoorsy.”

The thing that I enjoy most about being a school counselor is that I get to help students work through struggles and overcome obstacles. There is no problem too big! Through the end of the year, I will be handling enrollments and working closely with Ms. Moynihan with counseling in meeting all student needs. I am so grateful to be part of the Mustang family and look forward to getting to know you all. If you need to contact me, I can be reached at (919) 894-6003, ext. 3369 or you can email me at

Parents and students please stop by the counseling office and introduce yourself to Mrs. Connelly when you can. She is a fantastic addition to our Mustang Family!
